Constitution of Committees

6 committees were constituted for performing different responsibilities, under the leadership of Vice President Mr. Khalid Masood Khan, General Secretary Mr. Saqib Raheem & Coordinator Mr. Asif Nadeem. Amongst these committees there were committees for scholarships, membership, events and activities and media. The purpose was nothing else but to make working on these specific sectors more effective.

Distribution of Scholarships

Substantial amount of scholarship was raised from the contributions by the members. Under the chairmanship of Mr. Arif Choudhry. The committee after deciding the criteria and advertising in the institute, got responses from some 50 students, which first on the basis of written applications received from applicant and then person to person interviews conducted, finally approved some students which were distributed Rs 50,000/- in the fall semester 2007. The committee has high spirits and is determined to continue this noble task with greater amounts in the coming semesters.

Membership & Website

Two major problems were faced in the registration of membership. First lack of data of members and lack of updated data about the team members. A committee was constituted under chairmanship of Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Usman to address these issues. After collecting data about 450 graduates from different sources out of about 1400 graduates (so far), the committee updated the data by confirming personally from each and every graduate. This hectic exercise resulted in confirmed and updated information about 308 graduates. To keep this information up-to-date for future as well, a website was build where members can keep their information current and new members can search details about their successors. A discussion board is present for the members to discuss & post their views. The committee is planning to get information about all other past graduates and future graduates and post them on the website.

Election Committee

An election committee has been formulated with the primary task to hold election process. The committee constitutes of five senior members, whose contributions are needless to express. They have been given task to conduct the current elections after Ashoora 2008.
